Hearns has already said he isn't interested in Golovkin for Barker. he can make more money against Lee or Macklin.

it's too bad Golovkin didn't fight Brain Vera on the Rios vs Alvarado undercard instead of Ishida. it's not like Vera didn't want to.

GGG vs Vera would be a war and it's fights like that that get you the bigger fights. even GGG vs Rubio would have been better

I will also like to see him (GGG) fight Vera - that would be nice one to watch. Vera doesn't really know how to run. He's expected to fight and that would be explosive with Gena.
But he was offered 500k for a fight in Monaco, can't blame him for Ishida fight.
I agree that it's interesting that Barker mentions title shot but doesn't talk names. There are different MW titles out there with different level of risk vs reward. Some titles shot's are hard to get (Sergio) and while others are easily available but may hurt.

He performed well playing defense and trying to survive. He just didn't have the mental to pick it up and try and win the fight, but instead quit on a busted ear drum. It's a shame because the guy does have talent.

Not that painful either to be fair.

I have done it playing football (soccer). It is obviously painful but I can't imagine it would stop a fighter full of adrenaline. I am surprised that all fighters don't have problems with their ears it doesn't take an awful lot burst an eardrum.

I know Froch has a lot of problems with his ears.

But to not mention Golovkin seems strange considering the title of the article.
Phantom, Stop being a drama queen. He doesn't mention ANY champion or future opponent other than his immediate one.

He doesn't even mention Martinez, just that he wants a few fights this year.

This right here. Guy has some star potential too. When he fought Martinez, my wife had a hard time deciding who she liked better.

go on dal!!!!!!!!!!!! i love barker , he deserves every success in life the guy is a tremendous boxer and proved that against sergio , fair enough he got koed but look at his record up to that , no stand out names at all and when he takes his first real test against a guy whos held in very high recognition and ranked in most peoples p4p list the man did excellent and can take loads of positives from it. the only thing that i think will play on his mind from now on is weather his body will stay healthy and free of injuries.

Barker had already talked Golovkin here anyway.
