I find it weird with Russell. He seems to have an abundance of talent but they seem to be moving him along slowly. He has a ton of amateur experience so there is no reason to not move him along faster.

I personally believe it is because of his hands. Still hard to tell at this stage.

Mickey fought guys withen the 100 ranks. His last few opponents would actually be massive step ups for Russell.

By your perspective maybe but thats not what people were saying before the Salido fight. And the difference between what Russell and Mikey's resume before Micky fought Salido is SMALL compared to who Salido fought. History is littered with guys who made huge jumps in competition and succeeded. Russell would give anyone fits.

That is EXACTLY what they said about Mikey Garcia just before he beat Salido and look what happened. Resumes dont fight, fighters do! Mosley had nothing that compared to anything on Oscar's resume when he came from Lightweight and guess what happened? I can go on and on with examples.

Yeah he lost that fight against Oscar and was outclassed in the rematch.
