I believe it's Sergio's way of saying sure kid, I'll face you, but on my terms. Sergio has achieved his star the HARD WAY. Something Canelo knows nothing about yet.

Floyd on the other hand is undefeated over his career and is the biggest draw and the number one guy in the sport.

So it's about Sergio's perceived "spot" in boxing based on what he's accomplished.

Canelo still has to PROVE his greatness in the sport. Moving to 160 and beating Sergio is the way to do it; not Sergio coming to him.

Some of you in this thread just don't get it. He's not going to put him self in the position Dawson did. Come right out of the gate saying "I'll fight at this weight or this network"

Also, isn't Canelo considered to be a big 154'er anyways?

Im no Canelo fan but Sergios team is full of *****... Sergio has claimed in the past to be a 154 guy fighting at 160 because he cant get fights... he calls out Mayweather and then signs for a fight and sets up the fight after that almost immediately... in doing so removes himself as an option... then two guys hes been calling out (Cotto, Canelo) say their open to fighting him... now he will only go to 154 (not 150 anymore) for Floyd... i actually do think Canelo wants to fight Sergio... and i think Sergio is an easier opponent (not saying Canelo would win, I think he has a good chance) than trout... anyway Sergio is full of ****... he's fighting Chavez... and if Chavez ups the pressure to more than 26 punches per in the next fight, he should stop Sergio...

Priceless advise to canelo there "Worry about your next fight" that's the sort of advise you pay for, thats the sort of advise that you give to a boxer that has an amatuerish team behind him. The level of disrespect that Team Canelo has shown towards Trout is amazing and i hope they do not end up regretting it, Trout can surely use this to motivate himself just like he did when he spoil the Cotto-Canelo fight.

                I think so too.

Besides, a Mayweather fight warrants compromise way, way more.

Everything said in this article makes sense.

Especially his advice to Canelo. They are looking passed a hell of a boxer....

So he knows that 154 is a cash out fight that would drain him. Which is what I have been saying.

Canelo vs Martinez at 160. Im down.
