Who has Canelo beat to question anyone??? He doesn't deserve a fight against Floyd until he beats Trout and another top Jr Welterweight. Canelo brings a lot of money to the table, but Floyd doesn't need him. He needs to prove himself 1st. A win over Trout, Lara, and Kirkland, or Angulo would definitely make him worthy. I see nothing about this kid that gives me the impression he can beat Floyd. If Floyd was to fight him next and win, what credit would he truly get? They will say he beat an overhyped and protected young fighter. Beat a champion like Cotto and then start "questioning" the situation.

I feel it for Canelo, but 154 is not Mayweather's best weight, especially against such a young, hard punching dangerous fighter. SRL and SRR started as welters and easily outgrew the div's. I am a Floyd fan but admit he does fight safe opponents now. Martinez would be the cherry on top, but even he is considered small at the weight.

Floyd Mayweather has yet to clean out a division since light weight. At 140 he font everybody except Hatton and Kosta.

At 147, no Manny or Bradley.

At 154, he didn't fight anyone except a shop worn Cotto.

The so called best fighter in the world as not cleaned out a division in over 10 years.

Mayweather, do yourself a favor and look at how Andre Ward cleans out a division. You not only beat the best guy, but you beat the 2,3 and even 4 best fighter in the division.
Great point. Ward has beat the best in his division. And you can factor in dawson. Andre will fight whoever, and not duck anyone. Mayweather would fight A feather weight to assure his 0.

Canelos still the lead canidate for the Sept fight. Its still Canelos fight to loose. Just because hes not fighting on Floyds undercard doesnt mean hes not fighting Floyd in Sept. Floyds the biggest draw in boxing and he has to remain flexable. Its all part of negotiating.

I don't care about Mayweather either way, I just call it how I see it. And in the past 10 years Mayweather has not stepped in the ring against a guy in his prime and and in his best weight class.

IF you consider yourself the best and want to be the best then why don't you fight the best fighters out there.

Consider this De La Hoya fought Quartey, Mosley (in his prime), Trinidad, and if you want to add Oba Carr and Pernell you can.

But Ike Quartey alone was more dangerous than any fighter Mayweather has fought in the past 10 years. So was Trinidad, and so was Mosley in his prime. So what does that tell you about the competition Mayweather has faced.

If it is arguably better, and Canelo is such a draw how come it is on regular showtime?? Oh aight then

Yeah... yeah another hating chump who never fought before but feels safe talking about fighters from the computer.
