I'm pretty sure he fired her and accused her or someone in his team for making him take a black pill for the Molina fight which he claims hindered his performance. I'm not 100% but I think that's the gist of it.

Here's a recent interview he did too. He seems pretty hungry and eager to get back in the ring. He says he wants to be trained by Robert Garcia.

James "Mindgo" Kirkland hasn't fought since the controversial
win over Carlos Molina almost a year ago. There was talks of
the winner of that fight quite possibly fighting then, a former
IBF Jr. Middleweight Champion Cornelius Bundrage that didn't
happen obviously because of the way that fight being ended
controversially. So, Golden Boy Promotions offered him a fight
with Saul "El Canelo" Alvarez and he turned that fight down on
the fight purse dispute. We all know that Alfredo Angulo fights
Gabriel Rosado in a rematch on the undercard on May 4th. We
definitely gotta see James Kirkland back in the boxing ring soon.

I think they should make Angulo-Kirkland 2 on the May 4th card.

Both are available, Kirkland coming off a lay off, Angulo coming off prision time. A win for either of them will put them right back in the mix.
