Because with Power and Money comes a lot of Higher Standards and Expectations especially from the Fans!
Even after the Chavez Jr fight Martinez is still not a draw in the US and he is still not really known like that in the US so to be honest, nobody give a **** who he fights and notice that nobody puts pressure on his to fight GGG or Peter Quillin and some of the other top Middleweights
Martinez kinda gets a PASS because to be honest...NOBODY CARES, I don't even see anybody asking for a Chavez Jr vs Martinez rematch all that much
But Mayweather on the other hand, Mayweather is the only Boxer that can Tweet Something and it would be Top Story or Breaking News on ESPN, his standards will always be Higher and they expect Mayweather to fight any and everybody that scores a big win lol even if they are not in his division fans will require Mayweather to fight them
So it just comes with the Territory I guess, if your the Top Guy In Boxing the Expectations are always...HIGHER and a lot of times UNREALISTIC!Comment

If we're gonna compare entire resumes, then don't forget: Morales x 3, Barrera x 2
I give Pac a lot more credit for what he did below welterweight... I believe everyone else does or at least should.Comment

You mean like Canelo? Only difference is Chavez Jr. was actually fighting legitimate middleweight contenders (Zbik, Rubio, Lee). The same can be said about Ortiz (except he got stopped by Maidana beforehand and Chavez was undefeated).Comment

Because ur BF is and was a Puto(BIaatch ***ggot)!! When there was Tzsu as a Challenge, he fought somebody else, when Margarito's calling him, he waste time with Baldomir & Judah. When Cotto was on top, he takes a vacation & Pac beat all comers. Instead of fighting fighters on their top form, He always makes sure he has an advantage(JMM).Why can Martinez fight people like Martin Murray,and Manny fight Juan over and over again...yet people b1tch over Floyd fighting top fighters in his division???he fights top 3 fighters all the damn time yet gets criticized...but Martinez gets praised..Manny get praised??what is it??tell the truth..no matter who Floyd fights ya'll will hate him..i remember when it was rumored he would fight Alexander instead of Guerrero and all the sudden he was ducking the Ghost..then the fight gets made now he's cherry picking??? come on man he is fighting his mandatory and a top ww..then you got Klit fans actually talking **** when the 2 bros are on their bum of the month tour
When Pac fight was on demand, he put every kind of hurdles so he can duck Pac for years! When he just won 154 title, he went back to 147 & then cherry picks Pac's sparring partner at the lower wt classes. When will SHE fight a fighter we all fans want him to face??? When Floyd????Last edited by Pacdbest; 03-01-2013, 12:20 AM.Comment

Of course it matters. That's the claim Larry is making.
We got a ton of Martinez is ducking Golovkin posts when Martinez-Murray was first announced and we still get them. The chorus isn't as loud right now because the fight is far away and there's nothing new to talk about. The Mayweather-Guerrero-Canelo saga is fresh news so of course that's the main topic of in recent days. And I assure you, if Floyd wasn't charging $70 for his subpar product, there would be very little complaints.No one's making countless threads bashing him either. So they're not praising him but the majority of people are sweeping it under the rug, only occasionally "complaining" about his next fight. He was a hero for beating up JCC JrComment

@adp02
Sound reasoning. Good post, with obvious, clear facts.Floyd dangles that win that the opponent had and Floyd's fans bite! First of all, when one looks closely, that win that Floyd dangles was not as impressive as its made out to be. Their resume at the division is usually very average and even when you look at what they did after, its just as pathetic (see below)
Including Floyd's fight, here are what those dangerous opponents did since they faced Floyd:
Cotto : 0-2
Ortiz : 0-2
Mosley : 0-4-1
Hatton (at 147): 0-2
TOTAL: 0 Wins, 10 losses, 1 draw
Number of fights at WW before facing Floyd
Ortiz: 1
Hatton: 1
Marquez: 0
Sharmba: 1
Guerrero: 2
5 of Floyd's opponents had a GRAND TOTAL of 6 fights at WW!!!
GB was stating that Khan, with no fights at WW, was going to be next for Floyd but Khan lost to Garcia. Khan had 0 fights at WW ... same pattern, different fighter!
How Floyd fans can have the strength to protect their hero is beyond explanation!
... to Money Team ....... what do you have to respond to this?Comment

@maniac310
.... Spot on man. Really. I just read some post where somebody was talking about Pac, implying JMM was an inferior opponent. Floyd will always be the cherry picker concerned about his 'health' lol.Comment
