First fight was awesome lots of action and i definitely felt Alvarado was winning until the KO. But my first thoughts when they brought up a rematch were just why? It didn't seem to me that it warranted a rematch other than to have another action packed fight. But I will still watch the rematch anyway but i definitely agree with you to an extent its pointless Rios won hands down

Do you also believe there should have never been been a Vazquez-Marquez trilogy and a Gatti-Ward trilogy because it's pointless?

I didn't really enjoy the first one for some reason to be honest. But I'll still watch this I suppose

What doesn't make sense about a rematch to an action packed fight of the year candidate that was pretty even until the stoppage?

I just don't get what you're confused about.

Same here, I can't remember exactly but I think I gave him 4 of the 6 rounds. I knew Rios was going to have his say though, regardless of the fact that Alvarado was boxing pretty well. Even if he looks like he's taking a beating, and he does often look bad early on, he's laying that groundwork all the time and eventually he starts to get to the guy. That's one thing you have to give to Rios, even if there isn't much else to grab onto in boxing terms.
