To be honest...If I was Broner or Canelo, I wouldn't be rushing to fight top guys...

Valid point. And I am not saying these guys should duck good competition, especially as champions. Just saying people have to understand it's a balance between taking risks fighting tough guys and managing your career. Again, I think Canelo is the worse in this area right now. He's not even fighting Junior Middleweights. Trout would be his first legitimate opponent IMO. I'd even be happy to see him fight Lara, Rosado or Martirosyan.

Typical Floyd/Broner Stan banking on that undefeated record. I guess guys like Oscar Tyson PAC Trinidad never made much $ in boxing

And that has happened to others (albeit less talented) who tried that route. Fury comes to mind. Also to note, Broner looks the more talented of the two and is the one to took bigger risks of the two.

Then they shouldn't become champions plain and simple. The line of thinking you have they can fight bum after bum and get paid and thats cool but dont become a champion and cower away from fighting threats.

If they continue fighting "bums" people will lose interest in them and their marketability will go down

I definitely agree , but my problem is these fights with lower competition are televised. Broner, for example, in my opinion should fight 4 times a year. A nice challenge televised on HBO, then a tuneup in Cincinatti to 1. keep him busy 2. build his fanbase, then another nice fight on HBO, and finish the year off with another soft untelevised fight in Ohio.

Welcome aboard brother. I said it over & over. I knew it.

Not only did ginger say he doesn't want to fight on the undercard, he also is gonna duck Trout.

Exactly. Fight contenders or give up the belts.

I'm with you on that. They shouldn't be rushed into anything, but they are both winning world titles and once you are a champion, you must defend it against the top guys in your division. But its still hard to blame then when its the promoters and managers doing everything they can to make the most money. This is why Broner might not fight Vasquez. A fight with Burns would be a much bigger fight. Vasquez has no fan base. Even Mexicans boo him for running. Whether we like it or not, this is how boxing is right now and all the bi*ching and crying in the world is not going to change it.
