Point stands. If Alexander beats Kell Brook, he is more deserving of a fight with Floyd than Canelo is without Austin Trout or a top 10 JMW on his resume.

You're an idiot, plain and simple. Canelo told everyone he was fighting Trout, than he's now basically saying it might not be Trout, because he can't get a Floyd guarantee for September.

Basically, he doesn't want to risk fighting Trout, unless he can get a guarantee to fight Floyd. If Canelo doesn't fight Trout next, f**k him.

A. This is legit and Canelo does not want to fight on a May 5th undercard to help Mayweather's numbers and his payday.

B. This is not legit, just a phony excuse because Floyd and Canelo do plan on facing each other but don't want to risk it with Trout upsetting the apple cart. But in order to save face, this is the OFFICIAL excuse.

How do you know he won't?

He has 18 months to defend his WBA title and hasn't defended his WBC title since he beat Ortiz. So obviously, defend the WBC title in the spring and the WBA title in the fall.
