Why should Floyd sign a guarantee for ANYTHING with Canelo? I can understand Canelo not fighting on that date if Mayweather doesn't agree, cause he does add to his PPV sales but that should NOT determine who he faces. As much as people hate on BushBaby, he was 100% correct. Canelo and his team are using Floyd to duck Trout, why can't you see that?!? Besides what has he done? Very true I think he shoudl still fight Trout, but the thing with Floyd is that, yea he does not let people dictate ****, but it only seems to happen when he has a legit threat in front of him...

Ortiz had 2 losses and two draws, then moved up to 47 and knocked of Berto to become World Champion. People bounce back from losses all the time.

That type of mindset is why promoters don't want to risk their fighters losing there 0's, so they give us Canelo vs. Josesito Lopez.

i like floyd,he can fight. But if canelo fights trout and wins convincingly,then canelo v floyd would be the biggest fight of all-time for ppv #'s !!! Sign the deal floyd and take on the winner of canelo v trout.if trout wins then we have a new american and world star for money to fight. Either way it's win-win huge for floyd.make the deal !!! Alvarez needs to worry about beating Trout and not using Mayweather as a way of getting out of the fight. Which is what he's doing by not fighting Trout if Mayweather does not sign.

I actually think this is a set up and that Canelo was never meant to be on the card, yet they wanted to associate Canelo with Floyd and use Floyd's fight to get Canelo's name out there. I don't know if he will fight Trout or not, although I hope he does because he certainly raised people expectations when he could have kept his mouth shut beat up Angulo and probably got a ton of credit now if he does that lots won't like it because it wasn't Trout.

It also has the added benefit of creating the appearance of bad blood between the guys.


They are playing the long con for Floyd-Canelo but who knows if that plan works outs.
