Lara was robbed in the Vanes fight even though he was with Haymon.
Its unfortunate that no one cares about that, either. Lara got shafted pretty bad, there, no way was that fight a draw at the time of the stoppage.

And guess whose scorecard had Vanes ahead at the time of the stoppage?

      I hate that guy.

People are quick to jump and claim that their could be a robbery in favor of Canelo here. Completely ignoring the name Al Haymon, and how power>popularity. Nobody dares to think that Canelo could end up getting jobbed on the scorecards. You say he's too popular? De La Hoya vs Trinidad[Don King one of the most powerful men in boxing at the time]/Mosley II.

Hoping for a good fight and if it goes 12, a fair decision. But it's funny how people are ignoring Al Haymon when talking about this "robbery" that could happen.

I totally agree with you Kev. Just this past weekend, those who watched the Showtime card saw Love (a Haymon fighter) get pushed to the max by Findley. He won the fight by a round or two tops on most people's cards and the judges had him winning 9 out of 10 rounds against Findley.

Canelo and his team have to know this and I think Canelo is going to go for the KO to leave no doubt (no pun intended).

I wouldn't call that a robbery. I had Lara winning, but it was not a robbery. From what I remember, and I only saw this fight when it was on HBO, there was little action in the first 4-5 rounds. The fight only went 9 rounds.

As much as Haymon is made out to be Darth Vader, I don't think he's the type of adviser to **** over one of his fighters to benefit the other. It's why more and more fighters are choosing Haymon's services. It's not only black fighters anymore, for example Josesito Lopez and Erislandy Lara recently signing with him.

I don't think Haymon will throw Austin Trout under the bus for Mayweather vs Canelo. Especially since Mayweather is interested in the winner of that fight, and not only Canelo. I don't see it, if Trout actually beats Canelo, why take that away from him if you're Haymon? That's just another level conspiracy.

Even if it wasn't a robbery, the point is Haymon didn't use his magic to help out Lara in the scorecards to land him the Canelo mandatory spot.

Maybe since it was a TR vs GBP fight, they all agreed on fair judging. You know there had to be a lot of stipulations for GBP and TR to actually work together. Probably the judges felt it was genuinely a Draw.

I believe people look towards a robbery because in the case for Al Haymon, he stands to make more money off a potential Mayweather vs Canelo fight as opposed to Trout winning and him obviously not getting the Mayweather fight. If the fight is really close, I don't think Trout will get the nod. Trout to me has to win 9 out of 12 decisive rounds if I'm in a position to worry about the judging.

Generally, judges don't like runners and huggers. Cotto would have won the judges decision in the Trout fight if Cotto kept chasing him till the end of the last round. He got tired of chasing. Canelo is young and would have enough gas to chase Trout.
