Top Rank promoter Bob Arum isn’t buying Floyd Mayweather Jr’s statement that he would consider fighting Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao should Pacquiao be able to avenge his defeats at the hands of Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley and Mexico’s Juan Manuel Marquez.
When asked to respond to Mayweather’s statement about what Pacquiao needed to accomplish to make a fight against the undefeated pound-for-pound No.1 possible, Arum said “just forget him (Mayweather).”
Arum is focused right now on trying to get a fifth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez finalized as planned sometime in September.
