Comments Thread For: Arum Says To Forget a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Fight

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum isn’t buying Floyd Mayweather Jr’s statement that he would consider fighting Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao should Pacquiao be able to avenge his defeats at the hands of Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley and Mexico’s Juan Manuel Marquez.

When asked to respond to Mayweather’s statement about what Pacquiao needed to accomplish to make a fight against the undefeated pound-for-pound No.1 possible, Arum said “just forget him (Mayweather).”

Arum is focused right now on trying to get a fifth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez finalized as planned sometime in September.

Like I said for years. Bob Arum never had Floyd on his agenda.

floyd may be older @ 36, but Pacquiao is the one that's to far past it at this point to be thinking about facing Mayweather. Even If there were a remote chance of it happening by then Pacquiao will be 35+ which is ancient for his style of fighting..

This is all because Floyd said he would never put money in Top Ranks pockets on Showtime. Arum has a blood fued with everyone in Boxing even the fans. I don't why anyone supports this guy??
