This is what pay should be for most fighters without the HBO & Showtime inflation and I think they sold 5k tickets which is good and dwarfs overpaid guys like Berto.

It shouldn't have been for a title, I forgot all about it until the fight started. Even with all the nonsense titles in boxing, Peterson shouldn't have one after failing a drug test.

What many here also do not realize, is that a fighter only walks away with about 30%-35% of their actual purse. NO Exceptions!

People gotta be paid. First you have their team: trainers, promotor, managers and other expenses all take their slice. That might leave about 55-65% of their purse left. When they are done, uncle sam comes in and picks the bones dry for another 15-39% of what is left (depending on the tax bracket they are left with)
