WHAT is with the matthysse hype?

Matthysse does it all in the ring, no need for any clowning outside of it. There is no 'hype' around him because he doesn't stir it up. All the respect and attention he's got, he's got it in the ring.

A lot of posters on sites like this aren't very knowledgeable though and they can't get excited about someone unless he's raps terribly, beats his wife etc.

They're not really watching for the boxing.

it's funny how most fighters get no credit for who they beat (i.e garcia) but lucas and ggg beat lesser tier fighters and get incredible praise for it, it's very interesting.

Also to the guy who admitted he didnt know who Ajose was... Prior to the Lucas fight he was the hipster pick as one of the top dogs (and top guy to some) at 140. He was ducked like the plague.. Many thought the Ajose-Lucas fight was the two best at 140 going at it and they're not too far off. Ajose is a pick em fight with all of them.

140 is 1 of the deepest divisions in boxing. Lucas Mattysse is 1 of the best fighters in 1 of the best divisions. I don't see what the problem is.

If this WA how most viewed it I don't believe there would be an issue..But most want to say that Lucas without a doubt is the top of the 140lb Div, which is ridicules..

If you've watched a Lucas fight, and can't see that his boxing SKILLS, not just his power are legit, you DON'T KNOW **** ABOUT BOXING.

Rome By KO also thinks Bradley beat Pac with the sound off. What does that tell you Bradley twisted both his ankles trying to get away from Pac punches and walked out the arena in a f**king wheel chair.

What's really funny is that even with hurt ankles, PAC still could still not hurt or do any real damage to Bradley, sad..
