Floored many times but never stopped and only one loss..Dude Peterson is the goods..I agree that Garcia is very good, but I think this is a pick um fight..Very close fight imo..

That's a classic battle..I don't expect to see it tbh..Way to dangerous for Broner.

Yep. I would love to see it because of Petersons heart and determination, and I actually see him improving. He used better body movement last night (dipping at the knees instead of the waist, didn't pull straight back as much), however Hunter would have to implore Lamont not to just stand inside leaning in against Broner and go back to utilizing the ring more. That's the classic mistake Broners opponents do, once I see them standing still leaning in on the inside and not moving, it's right where Broner needs them. Lamont moves well on the inside and I think he can make Broner miss a lot (especially with the way Broner throws his hooks with his elbow), but he would need to get back to being a boxer (seems like he used to utilize the ring more in his early career) and not be the constantly plodding foward fighter he's become.

Peterson/Hunter is my favorite fighter/trainer duo. Hunter knows exactly what to say to Lamont to speak to his heart, and he's not afraid to shout and curse at Lamont and remind him what it took him to get to where he's at.

Where did I say he wasn't good?? I just think people are overreacting to a good win against a fighter that after the second or third round wanted to leave the ring and go home. Not to mention coming off a shoulder surgery where it was blatantly clear he was not throwing his right hand as hard as he has. Good win but people are making it seem like he will beat everybody at 140. But we are talking about boxing fans here so its par for the course I guess.

I agree with this whole post..

Peterson does not use his boxing ability until he has too..Watching him yesterday was frustrating until about the 3rd..All he had to do was use his jab and a bit of movement on Holt..But being out of the ring that long guess there was a bit of rust..

But your right,if LP can use a solid jab and some movement, fight on the inside in spots..I think he can out point Broner..I said it in a recent thread, when Broner moves up he's gonna have to use his legs a bit more..

Broner is using Mayweather's old man style of fighting, which May uses because his legs are not what they use to be..Broner is still young, when he moves up and starts fighting guys his own size he better make good use of his legs..

Only thing I'm pointing out is that everyone at 140lb can be beat imo, there is not a real stand out the whole group..They are all good fighters with the ability to win some big fights..I believe all of um get a bit of over hype, nothing wrong with it...Just builds more interest for them to fight tbh..
