this is the case especially when you are talking about doing it for 1000's (all) professional boxers.
and your response "they will find a way" is a pathetic response. In other words it means you hope they will find a way but you yourself have no idea how it would be acheivedComment

your "like he even would" comment!!!! It is completely irrelevant if he actually would or not. The point is he has the option to do it and so do 1000's of other professional boxers that would fall under your unfeasible 365 day testing regimeComment

Bulldust its much harder on Cotto than it was on JMM , because JMM came up and has boxed at the very same fight weight for years , this aint a WW 6ft Hearns he went up to fight , its same hight Floyd , a former LW himself who had been out of the ring for 2 yrs !
Cotto was forced to come below his already lowest limits , the numbers are not set in stone for everybody a pound at the wrong end can ruin you at this level , its an individual thing how low you can go , Cotto making 146 a yr earlier doesnt mean that extra 1 wont do anything 12mths later , if Cotto was very dry at 146 then 145 can shove him over the edge , Cotto said himself that he would never try that again , he is an honest man to me , if it ment nothing why demand it .
Going up 2-4 pounds wont do jack to hurt you , its like a sliding scale , in the middle is perfect fight weight for you , each notch down will 100% definitely take something away from you , each notch up will make your stronger at the cost of speed , noting that it needs to be a great jump to hurt speed a lot , JMM fought at a fight weight of 143-147 while weighing in as a LW , its not hard to grasp what Im telling about weight if you look at it .
.
Cotto had big time problems against Manny and it had nothing to do with weight. It had to do with speed. Cotto said in his post-fight interview "I lost because I couldn't see his punches ... he was too fast" Not seeing a punch had nothing to do with weight issues.
Cotto also was interviewed LAUGHING at the notion about having a problem coming in at 145. He actually said "People need to realize that I came in at 146 my last fight so 145 is no problem for me.
Cotto at weighin "I'm too big and strong for Manny"
Finally, Cotto DID WANT TO TRY IT AGAIN BECAUSE HE REQUESTED 150-151 CW against Margarito and settled for 153 and came in at 152.
Besides fighting Manny, Cotto had options and preferred to go that route. He knew that Manny was trouble.
When you go up several divisions it can hurt your performance. When Marquez fought Floyd, he was flabby and didn't gain muscles of a true WW. He was a tad slower. His punches were not effective and had no pop to it. Marquez had in front of him an opponent who was at his regular WW weight and had to get hit by a WW. Fighting a WW is much harder than by a 130-135lb fighter.Comment

im not making excuses im showing 1 out of probably 1000 different scenarios that could happen that makes 365 testing completely unfeasible to this sport.

Floyd wanted some random testing during training camp, and for a long time Pacquiao made half of his training camp in the Philipines. Was that an issue?
What is really pathetic is your attempt to make it seem as impossible.
I'm done with you.Comment

You want me to explain the whole process? wtf is wrong with you.

just come to terms with the fact that it is not practical to have 365 day testing for all professional boxers because at the moment you really dont have a worthwhile response explaining how it is possibleLast edited by chump123; 02-23-2013, 12:04 AM.Comment

When your drained you lose speed and snap as well as power , you become plodding your reaction time is fuzzy and your resistance is lower , your still fit but your as flat as a dung carters hat , exactly what you describe as CottoComment

I love how Pacquiao is still taking heat from internet geeks about Steriods, when guys like Lamont Peterson, Andre Berto, Erick Morales, the guy Klitz just beat all tested positive for it. Yet, since they are not big enough stars these internet geeks brush it off and forgetComment
