Is this a joke ? Nonito has great defense ? Mathebula out landed him by 100 punches ... Vasquez jr had his face beat red after eating a million jabs.

Although I've heard all of that before, I didn't want to mention those issues because I have no independent knowledge of them. Marroquin definitely outweighed Rigo by several pounds on fight night. Guille's true fighting weight is more like 118; he's already walking around at 122, according to him. Getting rocked a couple of times by a guy like Robert isn't the end of the world, especially when you consider that Rigo won their fight very easily. Guille even tossed in a couple of knockdowns against this significantly bigger foe for good measure.Originally posted by BendOver View PostAnd none of the donaires fan when talking about the marroquin fight mention all the problems that Rigondeaux had, the 72 hours before the fight he was back in miami finding out if he will fight or not, that he was dragged out of his bed by his trainer because he didn't want to fight because of all the $h1t that was going on on top of that marroquin whom he is not a bum, actually he is a pretty good fighter with a lots of pop with a great amateur background, out weighted GR by a least 8 pounds, still he took his shot and went after him after getting hit, Donaires fans are ommiting those thing that are heavy factors in any prize fight, that is why he ask TR to settle with Caribe before fighting donaire...

This is a contradiction. Nonito never gets hit flush, but if he does, he has a great chin? If he never gets hit flush, how do you know he has a great chin? Anyway, Donaire isn't exactly a defensive specialist; he gets hit plenty.Originally posted by TheHook84 View PostNonito never gets caught flush because his movement is world class. Even if he gets hit with a good shot, he has a great chin. I would be worried that Rigo almost got down by a punch that barely hit him twice.
I'm becoming convinced that you've never seen Rigo fight. He has no punch that can hurt Nonito? Rigo can crack! Maybe he doesn't hit quite as hard as Donaire, but Guille has power in both hands and can easily end a fight with a shot to the liver.Originally posted by TheHook84 View PostRigo has no punch that can hurt Nonito. Rigo will be running for his life if he doesn't want to exchange and will lose a UD to Nonito.

I have said Rigo is a good fighter and he's WBA Super Bantamweight champion and IMO #2 at 122 behind Donaire. Donaire and Rigo both will face their toughest opponent to date. In 2012 Rigo fought Roberto Marroquin, Teon Kennedy and Rico Ramos, those are C and D level fighters. What separates Nonito from Rigo is that Nonito is just too powerful and Donaire will impose his power and will on the smaller Rigo.Originally posted by CubanGuyNYC View PostThis is a contradiction. Straight Left will land, land hard and accurately. Donaire leaves himself open, and fighting a quick south paw with a hard left will pose many problems.Originally posted by TheHook84 View PostRigo has no punch that can hurt Nonito. Every fighter gets hit. Vazquez landed some good shots but Nonito never has wobbled like Rigo has. In the Vazquez fight even though Nonito was much smaller, Nonito got stronger as the fight went on and delivered a 9th round knock down. Rigo is a good fighter but he is not a great fighter like Nonito Donaire.Originally posted by CubanGuyNYC View PostYou didn't address a single one of my points.

How was Nonito "much" smaller? They're both listed at 5' 5 1/2". Are you saying Vazquez outweighed Donaire by a significant amount on fight night?Originally posted by TheHook84 View PostEvery fighter gets hit. Yeah like a less than a week before the fight Vazquez failed the preliminary weigh in they did for Puerto Rico. You can tell when they first got in the ring Vazquez re-hydrated back at 135 to 140. Let's just say that shot Nonito gave to Vazquez in the 9th, Rigo would not get up from.Originally posted by CubanGuyNYC View PostHow was Nonito "much" smaller? They're both listed at 5' 5 1/2".
