Rigondeaux VADA Test Delay - Does It Make Him a PED Suspect?

Donaire takes year-round VADA testing so everyone who fights him knows that they'll require more extensive testing than usual. Rigondeaux and his team were aware of that a long time ago, at the start of negotiations, but they've delayed signing the VADA agreement up until the very last moment.

This could be to ensure that the usage cycle of certain PEDs passes by so that the drugs shouldn't appear in Rigondeaux's system when testing begins. That's how a lot of athletes are able to use PEDs but still pass testing - they simply time things correctly so that the drugs don't show up in tests, yet they still get a significant benefit from the initial boost they gain in training.

Do you suspect Rigondeaux of using PEDs because of his delays in signing the VADA contract, is it a possibility at least, or you believe he's totally clean?

Just now, literally minutes ago, they explained the whole issue, it was that Rigo wanted to use USADA in edition to VADA, so /thread to that.

Rigondeaux's team wanted EXTRA testing. VADA and USADA on top of that.

        So, no.

He sure is a suspect, the VADA contract in spanish version was already sent by tuesday, so why the delay? I just wish a very satisfying clean fight for this unification

These threads are inspired by those who use PEDs. It's a problem in all sports and something that should be openly discussed rather than ignoring the issue altogether. Sure, I hate it when a fight falls apart because of PED usage but we're still in a situation where a solution exists (year round testing) but it hasn't been globally mandated as yet. One day that'll change.

Are we going to crucify a fighter who wants both usada and vada testing?

Hell, most people would refuse either (Hopkins, Pacquiao for a long time, Klitschko etc)
