  • Would Floyd fighting Manny now be considered fighting Marquez's leftovers?

based on the logic that has been used to determine the credibility of opponents. Would Floyd receive credit for beating Manny now?

I think so too. But I am interested to see how someone who has used the "leftovers" argument would justify Manny not being one in this case.

Because he got cracked, it happens. Up until the kayo, Manny looked good against a guy he rarely looks good again. Unless if Manny is gun shy when he returns, he's still a very good fighter and can give a great fight to any top fighter in the world.

Ahh so we would really have to see how Manny acts in his next fight to make a determination. If he recovers and is fully back to form then nothing lost but if he is indeed gun shy after this then thats a wrap.

So Hypothetically speaking, Floyd were to fight Manny right now and Floyd dominated him more than likely he would not get the credit as it would be assumed that Manny had not recovered from the Marquez fight.

Yeah, that's how I feel. Let Floyd fight Guerrero and Alvarez. Let Manny have a comeback in April and November and see where he's at. If Manny looks like he's still near what he was at a year or so ago, have em fight in May of next year. Just keep Manny away from JMM or that plan will certainly be spoiled again.

Could you imagine if Manny broke from Arum and Floyd V Manny was on SHO PPV

Of course Pac is JMMs leftovers. Its Floyds fault for letting the fight slip by, and there was a danger Pac would lose, as Pac fights often and dangerous opponents often. Pac was considered to be slipping even before being kod by jmm so i dont see any humanly way possible Floyd wont be accused of fighting leftovers of JMM. Floyd and his fans practically invented the word leftovers so dont use phrases that will be used against you is the moral of the story.

If Floyd didnt want to be criticised he should have just got stuck in, rather than play the victim, no one ever gives me credit excuses. Stop giving people reasons to criticise you then!

Floyd wont get much credit for beating Pac now, no matter how dangerous Pac is still. People tried discrediting Pacs win over Margarito even though Margarito was a big lump and highly dangerous to someone of Pacs size.

Hell yeah! It'd make him looked real bad fighting PAC after his ko loss.

I'd still give Floyd more credit if he beats Pacquiao than if he beats Canelo or almost anyone else he might fight...
