I dont want to jump to conclusions but i hate boxing sometimes.

Whoever is to blame, Vasquez asking for too much or Burns lowballing, get it sorted. Im looking forward to this fight goddammit.

Surely it would be more costly to let the fight fall apart after the promotion theyve given it, the training expenses etc, than to not pay the right amount/ask for too much money (probably the former)?

1. Burns realizes he has 50% chance at losing to Vazquez, which means losing his title and any shot at fighting Broner in the US to get his name big on the world stage

or

2. Vazquez feels he's getting low balled, even though in the UK he's very very very much the B-side of the fight, and is pricing himself out just like he did last fall when Golden Boy offered him 350K to fight Broner

Agree with a lot on here whether it be Ricky/Warren getting greedy or Vazquez overestimating his worth sort it out this is an important fight

Yes he is the B-side, but he is a champion in a title unification, fighting a fight with a good crowd (supposedly) and some TV backing. not saying he should get paid a million, but whats the point of having the belt if it doesnt get you leverage and some extra $$$. it isnt like he is some new champ, he has had this belt for a long time and is trying to cash in while he can.

Here we go again. It sounds like Vasquez is trying to get out of the fight. Or they're just trying a tactic to see if they can up the purse before the fight. I hope it's the latter and that the fight still happens. Would be a shame for Vasquez to duck Burns like that.
