HBO will be okay without Mayweather. A one fight a year guy won't affect business in the overall grand scheme of things. They're probably sick of the guy's diva attitude.

The highest paid, most watched fighter in the world wont affect business in the grand scheme of things? Not to mention it's a deal for 6 fights in the next two and a half years.

He may not be a very good guy, but in terms of business he is THE man. He's also been HBO's cornerstone athlete for the past 6 years as well as being one of their top guys for many years before that.

They are going to miss him, as their making a huge return offer would suggest. Showtime have just taken the biggest name in boxing from their rival.
