if HBO puts on better fights they will be ok. Between manny/jmm 5 and chavez/martinez 2 I think combined those fights sell about the same as floyd/cotto did. HBO doesn't need anymore stars-it needs better fights. I hope WCB and BAD are improved as well. HBO can build around broner, chavez jr (not really reliable right now) and ward. The kessler/froch fight will be great. the only loss is floyd/canelo, if both are undefeated-will be the biggest selling fight this year.

SHowtime overpaid for floyd but they need credibility and floyd is still widely regarded as the best fighter in the world. But I hope their fights dont suffer. frankly, they've been putting on better fights than HBO for a while and signing floyd only expands their options.

Since PBF left toprank, someone tell me how many of toprank's fighters he has fought? Everyone he so called ducked just so happened to be a toprank fighter. Arum works on the old promoter standard of not risking his fighter unless he has rights on the fighter they are facing. Bob isn't trying to let GBP or PBF make any money off of him period.

This is a good move for Mayweather. Probably looking to maximize his intake in the last two years of his career.

We can say the same exact thing about GBP..the problem here is that since Gary Shaw, Zanfer, and others are more than happy to hand over the entire event to GBP those gbp fighter fight outside of their family..notice one thing you are accusing Top Rank of doing the same exact thing GBP copied from them..GBP will not allow anyone else to host a championship bout if they can't control it then it won't happen but the irony is that Top Rank let Rigo get his fight but you say that bob stops GBP from fighting his guys? The fact is Schaeffer and Oscar make their money from milking the sponsors just like Arum does. So calling one guy jam and calling the other guy peanut butter and pretending they aren't ingredients of a sandwich is ludicrous.
