This is great news for boxing. No wonder Bob Arum has been using Mayweather's now old excuse of being loyal to HBO. HBO and Top Rank are stuck with each other now. This officially ends the possibility Mayweather-Pacquiao.

I thought that possibility ended when Pacquiao signed to fight the joke fights like Margarito and Mosley, and officially ended when he signed to fight and lost to Marquez in the 3rd fight. By the time Marquez put him to sleep in the 4th fight, the fight was long gone.

I'm not too fond of long term network deals for fighters. Good for Floyd, I do like the prospect of him fighting that many more times...but if he's signed for 6 fights....3 or 4 I could see realistically happening, the best fight is obviously going to be on the ass end of the deal, so will there be 2-3 crap fights that no one cares about, until we get a Canelo/Trout, Martinez type fight?
