Versus who?
When do you all think Broner will headline his first PPV?

Obviously he's going to have to get in with a big name guy (and then beat said big name) to launch him. Because if he headlined a PPV main event right now, it would sell to about 16 homes. We're talking about a guy who has half as many twitter followers as Andre Ward. He's nothing right now to the casual boxing fan.Comment

He's going to be a PPV headliner; it's inevitable and just a matter of time. The question is when? The kid's going to be a star as long as he keeps winning.Obviously he's going to have to get in with a big name guy (and then beat said big name) to launch him. I think it will be at 140 or 147 for a championship versus one of the top names that are currently there now.Comment

he needs a breakout fight against a name before or for his PPV.
Most of the time it's against somebody who's been in oneComment

i cant see him headlining any time soon.he is only 23 and has already outgrown a division, and already is on a 2 fight a year scheduleComment

This. It's the right of passage. Again, he could fight a thousand more of these scrub fights and build a record of 1,026-0 and he still won't be a PPV headliner until he takes on (and defeats) someone who is. Like Floyd & Manny did with Oscar.
Right now beyond hardcore boxing fans, nobody knows or gives a **** who he is.
I'm not saying he won't one day be a PPV draw -- because he is on his way, but there's no way around it. He must get in with either a past headliner or be paired with another pretty sizable name to justify a $69.95 PPV bill.Comment

If Golden Boy has cash and the networks didn't want to pay, Broner can headline a PPV against a ranked opponent or former champ right now. They can have a Golden Boy PPV similar to Top Rank PPV or Roy Jones Jr route for $9.99.Comment
