So does anybody see Trout outboxing Alvarez and making him look silly?

Trout is an awkward fighter. Judging from his last fight, his main focus was to survive and was hell bent on avoiding Cotto's left hook. I've never seen any opponent of Cotto as scared as this guy. Even Malignaggi traded punches with Cotto. Trout was like fighting demons aimlessly parrying evil spirits. He holds and clinches when Cotto gets close. Unfortunately for Cotto the ref wasn't helping. He implements breaks in a split second which unabled Cotto to fight an inside game. Cotto got frustrated and got tired of chasing the guy. He's old and he ran out of gas.

Trout will do the same thing in the Canelo fight. I could see Trout holding excessively. And Canelo needs the ref who refereed the Guerrero/Berto fight.

Thanks for the offer to bet. These points were a gift so I use them carefully. I have never bet points before. I want to make a small bet with Bushbaby but just that Canelo wins not that he must win by KO. Trout is a very good fighter and possibly the best 154 pounder in the world. I am betting cash on Canelo but only that he wins the fight any way he can.
All good. I'll try and find somebody else.

We need Bushbaby unbanned by the time of this fight, hopefully the mods can oblige us this? I remember when Mushahadeen was beating the Chavez jr drum and he was unbanned...this time I have a feeling Trout wins and Bushbaby gets bragging rights, if not i bet he takes it like a man and hangs around

I'm backing Trout, but Bolio I will send you some points as you are a good man in ways others will probably never know...happy betting

Trout is taller and the better boxer of the two, but Im not sure if he has the power to keep Canelo off of him. I like this fight and I'm really not sold on either of these two guys. Canelo has a pretty good skill set but he hasn't faced anyone. Trout has Rodriguez and Cotto on his resume but Cotto was tiny for 154 and his resume ant 154 wasn't that great to begin with.
If Trout can keep Canelo at bay and move he can win. If Canelo can get on the inside and go to work he will win, he's the harder puncher of the two.
I really don't care who wins Im just glad their fighting each other. 154 has been a deep division for the last 2 years but none of the top guys have fought each other. Its about time.

Bush is banned? Since when and for what...? That's shocking. They ban someone like Bush but the racists and trolls are still on the loose.

I don't know a definite outcome for this fight based on who will take the W but I do know Canelo won't KO Trout.

He's a silppery awkward fighter and 100% won't allow himself to be trapped.

Before that happens he'll hug Canelo like they're at junior prom.

I see this fight going to a tense decision, but the winner will deserve it.

Trout won't get shafted. He has Al Haymon on his side.

                  Al Haymon is the equalizer.

Trout impressed me with his boxing against Cotto; however Cotto looked out of shape and his comments pre-fight were a clear indicator that he is ready to call it a career. He is indirectly blaming his trainer by looking for another one, which isn't going to instill his love for the sport.

He had the same trainer and looked in great shape for the Mayweather fight, he was not in the same shape for the Trout fight though. Canelo is going to feel the power that Trout brings and then he is going to trap him in the corner or against the ropes by round 3. After a few attacks, Trout will be severely weary of Canelo's power and his game plan will be altered.

I see a TKO or KO for Canelo around the 8th to 10th round and that's based solely on Trout being a great boxer. You have to remember that this is Canelo's big time shot, his time to shine so to speak; he'll be in tremendous shape and have a desire to win emphatically. He might get Trout out as early as the 5th if he catches him.

Trout looks good in the first 2 until Canelo comes at him. I have my doubts that Trout will be able to handle the punches.
Stoped reading after "Cotto is slower than Canelo" . Canelo is a sitting duck with zero movement. Kermit was tagging Canelo with ease. I can see Trout outboxing Canelo fairly easy.

I see Trout clearly beating him but not exactly embarrassing. Canelo has never fought a good solid boxer like Trout at his weight.
