When does Trout really get trapped in the corner though? He's very good at spinning off the ropes, and actually turning his opponent into the ropes. The thing is though, when Trout does get trapped he's not afraid to tie up his opponent and forcing the ref to break them.
I agree, Chiefy.
I can see it too, however I can't see him getting a fair decision from the judges if he does.
Agreed. I see Canelo much like JCC, they both need their opponents to stand in the pocket and trade for them to shine. Yes, Canelo will probably never stop coming forward - but I can see Trout constantly circling, popping his jab and taking advantage of the times Canelo is in defense mode. I see Canelo gassing very early, and looking somewhat lost without a plan B. Trout definately needs to focus on the body for the first half of the fight and give very little focus or energy to head shots IMO.
Not to say I don't think it will be a competitive fight but I can very much see this fight going a lot like Martinez vs JCC. I also believe Trout has an underrated chin because he can take a hellofa punch. It will be interesting to see how he takes Canelo's power though.
