At the end of the day people will say he's fighting 5 foot nothing bums until he moves up to 140+... Where everyone is a threat. Until of course he moves up.

Prescott, Kim, Quintero, Gesta.....none of these guys were in the Top 10 at 135 when Vazquez beat them.

Why did Miguel turn down the chance to fight Broner last November than???

Quintero, Gesta, Kim, and Prescott were all ranked in the top 10 by the IBF when he beat them. Quintero, Gesta, and Ameth Diaz are still ranked in the top 10 right now by the IBF. They may have not been ranked by Ring, but so what they still have Mitchell and Estrada who hasn't beaten anyone.

When JMM was at 135 everyone and their mother was calling him out. Rios and Guerrero and other top lightweights never even mentioned Vazquez's name. He was and is high risk low reward.

Vazquez also had a fight with Quintero in October, and Arum had already made plans to match him against Gesta on the Marquez Pacquiao 4 undercard. And I'm pretty sure he made 175,000 or 200,000 for a much easier fight with Gesta. He didn't even lose a round in that fight, maybe Vazquez's team didn't think the offer to fight Broner was enough. People thought Peterson was ****** to turn down the first offer to fight Khan because it would've been a career high payday and it turned out to be a pretty good decision on his part.

It's true broner needs to step up his competition. Unfortunately for Vasquez he isn't that much of a step up either. Wins against bums like burns Reese Vasquez aren't gonna skyrocket ab to the next level. Move up to 140 Adrian and fight rios,Lucas,Amir,Danny Garcia,Alvarado ,maidana any win against any of them would help him prove his status as an elite. He isn't being tested by any of these guys he's fighting

Vasquez will be silenced when Burns takes care of him on March 16. Burns is a better fighter than Vasquez. Can't put it any simpler. And Burns has a better workrate, not to mention is bigger and has home advantage...not to mention has fought better opposition.

Good ****. I'm so tired of "fans" hiding behind their keyboards and trashing world boxing champions and referring to them as "bums". They have no idea the kind of obstacles these fighters have had to overcome and the efforts they have had to put forth to become world champions. It's every fighters dream to win a world title.

Vasquez, Burns and the winner of Abril/Bogere are all legit fights for Broner while he's at Lightweight.
