don't you mean, as long as he fights the best and wins? DeMarco was a solid win. his record aside from that is desperately thin (and not even vaguely close to Mayweather's at an equivalent age and number of fights).

that said, his potential is exciting.

if only Broner had had a Jesus Chavez at 130 in his time. then we'd really know something about him. Chavez was a bad man at his best.

              Yea right.

His best win is a gift decision against a light-punching old fart.

What I am saying is, I notice alot of Pacquiao fans hating on him, why?
Because he's coxy and arrogant? Or because he's friends with Floyd?
Hate him or love him, you gotta admire his in ring abilities. Sure he's a mirror image of a younger Floyd, but what makes him different?

His hunger. Sure Adrien is loud mouthed, confident and in your face, but what separates him from "Money" Mayweather, is his attitude to the game. At a young age Floyd was steered away from his love of the game, when the paper started to arrive.. Adrien doesn't strike me as such.. Alot of big fights didn't happen with Floyd due to him being ruthlessly demanding when it came to purses, splits and hate revenues.

Adrien Broner is so arrogant I think he'll go there and blast through anyone they put on front of him because he knows he can. He's out to prove something and money won't get in the way of that.
One way to find out, put them in the ring together so Pac can "pass the torch" to him.

At the same age, Manny had a dubious headbutt/low blow loss to Torrecampo and a weight drained body shot loss to Singsurat. He also had the KO's of Saskul and Ledwaba (both better wins than DeMarco, Ree, or DeLeon) and was a year away from Barrera. I also was at the Sanchez fight and while Manny didn't look great, he hardly deserved to lose that dirty ass fight. It was also his first unification fight. If a year from now, Broner has beaten the Burns/Vazquez winner to become the lineal Lightweight champ and moves up to become top banana at 140, the comparison questions will start to make sense.

Until then, this is just just a clearly talented kid whose mouth is more accomplished than his fists. I expect the fists to catch up.

And comparing Broner to where Floyd was at 23 is a joke of epic proportions. Part of that has to do with Floyd having MUCH more to work with, but that is a huge part.

                      I agree.

People act like Broner is 17-18years old. He is 23 and at that age, Pacquiao and Floyd were way more accomplished as fighters.

We don't even know if he can get past the Danny Garcia's, Lucas Matthysse's and Tim Bradley's of the world, yet some how he will be better than guys like Floyd and Pacquiao......smfh. This site has went to **** in a hurry.
