Broner definitely got hit more than normal...but I think it was obvious that he was testing Rees power early in the fight. You could see something click in Broner after he took a few shots (especially that hook on the break) that he realized Rees wasn't going to hurt him. Then he got more aggressive but Rees didn't back down.

You HAVE to give Rees some credit here. He fought about the BEST that he could.

Sure, he shines when he can get his guy to stand there and not move, but..... I'm sorry but for HBO to say that was another 'great' show by Broner is just past pathetic IMO. He fought a guy over 3" shorter then him (he looked as close to midget a non midget could get) and he was getting tagged A LOT by that midget ... and - he missed A LOT. Yeah, yeah. He "got the job done". Yippee.

Broner: UUUHHHHH who's that? Were gonna go back to the drawing board with Al Haymon and goldenboy.

Except for the Scottsman or the Mexican. What a joke.

Pretty much exactly what I expected. Glad the fight was stopped, the rock put up a good show. Kellerman being his useless self once again.

Testing Rees's power? No, Broner didn't intend to get hit with the punches why the hell would he want to look bad. LOL

HBO is convinced Broner is the answer to their need for a fighter to appeal to the "urban demographic."

We'll see about that. I get the feeling Rees was right that many Americans can't stand Broner's whole act.

But maybe they're not the ones in that "urban demographic."

The same "urban demographic" that hates the Klitschkos.

A little afterwards he was interviewed for the SKY broadcast, with Rees right next to him, and he said he wants to fight Burns next. And if that can't be done, he'll move up to 140 lbs. The Sky broadcast interview was much better than the HBO one with Kellerman.
