What you guys have to realize, if a smaller guy takes it to a larger guy, and that larger guy doesn't have a "pump the jab and keep the distance" type of style, that larger guy is bound to take some shots.

Broner did just fine...I saw nothing that makes me think he can't and won't live up to the hype...BUT...he may have to evolve his game to use his legs more to stay on the outside more with smaller pressure fighters. Great experience for him to have before going against someone like Rios.

I think once Vazquez schools Burns, that's gonna be a tough fight for both guys.
really?..coz i did'nt see ponce landing the overhand right on broner's face and body puches rees was landing againts broner in that fight , nor the activity of reese....and burns is the tougher fight for broner than vasquez imo..

Broner wont make it out of 140 undefeated, and 135 is looking really dry.

As is the fact that Max Kellerman gets a BWAA award for "excellence in broadcast journalism" when he's getting worse all the time. Tonight was his nadir.
If as a person you mean being quite successful in his field then it actually seems like a good state of affairs. unless u are some bitter old dude

When Broner loses Kellerman is gonna cry on the air like Arreola did after he got spanked by Vitali.

Broner and Rees weighed the same amount tonight 150. Broner can't help if a fighter has a height disadvantage or reach disadvantage if they are in the same weight class.

He's forced, unoriginal, narcissistic, and classless.

well, all this talk of him being hittable is no news. my take on Broner for a while now is that he won't be Floyd II, the defense will not be near as airtight, he can and will be hit. but what he will be as he moves up in weight is an exciting tope level action guy who will be in some great firefights. he has a chin, he can ****, he's physically strong. just enjoy him. he's gonna be a lot of fun.

Broner did what he was suppose to do.

Rees landed and performed better than DeMarco, but it was an approach thing. Rees threw and threw the first two rounds, as Broner was content feeling him out. Broner actually started landing the better shots in round 2, in my opinion. But are we going to say Rees is better than DeMarco, simply because he had a better start the first 2 rounds than DeMarco did??? Absolutely not. Rees had a better game plan, but let's be real, the best shot Rees landed was the one when they were breaking and Broner thought the ref was stepping in.

Rees takes a good shot, most people knew that coming in. He fought with a lot of heart. He'd probably beat a few other decent Lightweights.

But it became apparent in the 3rd when Broner adjusted, and just let his hands go more, he was tagging Rees at will.

Thread title says it all, really.

What I was shocked about was the 80-1 odds thing being talked about. The fuck?

If I remember correctly, I think Douglas was a 42-1 dog against Tyson.

Anyway, Broner did what he was supposed to do. He got his man out, and did it in a efficient, effective manner.

All the other extra shit, I really don't pay attention to.

The people that have a seething hatred for his antics better get a pallet full of antacid from Costco, because he is going to be pissing you off for a LONG time.
