The win over Cotto was definitely a step in the right direction. If he can put together a couple more like it he should be there.

Probably not that big but he could find himself headlining a couple PPVs if the opponent is right.

Americans like their black boxers to be loud and controversial otherwise they become as popular as ward and bradley. So i would say not a chance in hell.

no , he lacks the wow factor due to average punching power and he does'nt have the villain image that sells floyd...he's too classy for all that....

nah... hell never be a star. look at the popular black fighters in recent years.

Rjj ... exciting style and good personality

                floyd... extremely gifted and outspoken

                mosley .... exciting style

now broner ... exciting and a lot of pereonality.

trout is just a good boxer. not a good sales pitch.

                  Star? Maybe! Superstar? Not Sure!

That is all out of his hands, all he can do is going out and box and win, all that other stuff just kinda falls into place by itself and it takes good promotion and the NETWORK BACKING to make a fighter into a "SUPERSTAR"

Him getting someone as Powerful As Al Haymon has clearly paid off because since signing with Haymon he been getting Bigger Fights and Bigger Paydays so with Al Haymon backing him it is very Possible

So you don't put B-HOP on that list of stars??How about PWill??Dude both those fighters(esp B-HOP)are stars..As big of a star as Mosley, the book is still out on Broner, but he has the potential to be a superstar..But he has to keep winning and that's no gimmie...

I ask can Trout become a star, not a Mayweather or Pac(who are National Superstars)..I don't get why people believe Ward is not a draw or not popular either??Dude sold out a few of his fights in Cali..His fight against Froch did well at the gate and his fight against Dawson..I really think if this kid(Trout)keeps winning he's going to be a star...
