That died out and now it was due to go to purse bids but team Fury withdraw from that...

Both are the biggest names in British heavyweight division at the moment, the winner of this clash would receive a huge amount of attention. So if Fury was so confident of beating Price, why has he avoided him so much?
I think Tyson Fury thinks he can beat anyone in the world. I think he genuinely believe he beats Price. He thinks he thinks he beats Wlad easily. But I doubt Hennesy believes it. And they have seen how Price deals with someone that beat Tyson fury (Mcdermott) and how he deals with guys Fury would go 12 rounds with (Skelton, Audley etc). Fury will get exposed as soon as he really steps up - And i'm not talking about the cunninghams or the Johnsons who more or less finished as fringe contenders. Fury gets KO'd in 5 rounds or less against Price. Can't wait for it to happen - because it will.

I'm still trying to work Fury out, I don't think his scared of Price and I'm not sure why his avoiding him at the same time - Price is higher ranked than Cunningham he is also younger and a win over Price would give him more crediabiltiy at home and abroad so unless he has been offered a world title shot which I don't think he has this is the time to prove his worth - unless there's reason we don't know about or does he doubt himself and scared of losing his unbeaten record as a negotiating tool against one of the Klitschsko's - I don't know but lets sit back and watch this enfold - in the mnean time he should stop talking about Price and just get on with his business or fight him.

It certainly helps a fighter to have that confidence of beating anyone in the world but what annoys me is talking smack about a domestic rival and then blatantly avoiding him. Price and Fury could meet tomorrow and a loss for either man isn't really that much of a negative impact. What it does do is define who the better man is, ala Groves-DeGale and gives both a good deal of attention.

Hennessy also has the upper hand as he's got a TV deal and Maloney isn't really secure in that sense. Maloney was offering a lot of money for the fight to be made and Hennessy could have the lion's share if Channel 5 are the ones to air the fight.

Fury's moving at an OK pace, as long as he doesn't have a dip and fight the Rogan's of this world. I too think his limitations will soon be realised but what excites me about him isn't his technical ability and I've always said from day one that he has great physical attributes and just needs the proper guidance.

                Fury is 24 years old.

Wlad is 36. Vitali is 41. Even Price is soon to be 30.

So why should a young pup like Fury be in any big hurry to fight a guy like Price, who by the way has proven so far only that he can beat up old men? Even Price's next opponent is 41. His last two before that were 45 and 41.

Price is a long way from being battle tested. Fury has certainly proven he can beat people who aren't yet senior citizens, like Chisora and Johnson. What has Price done?

The people saying Cunningham is a bad matchup are probably many of the same people who say Cunningham beat Adamek. And Adamek is still a highly ranked HW.

So if Fury comes over here and easily beats Cunningham, that situates him nicely for the future, a fight with the winner of Stiverne vs Arreola that is also very winnable and could get him a world title if Vitali exits.

Fury is crazy like a fox. If you're one of the suckers who hangs on every word someone types on ****ing Twitter, that's your problem, innit?

No doubt that this is a great fight that everyone wants to see, however I think its a good call to wait until both guys are bigger names before they face off. This fight has huge marketing potential, and a long-standing rivalry like this won't lose its appeal as long as both fighters continue in their current form. I think Fury knows this, and Price probably does as well, however now that Fury has been open about his not wanting the fight right now all Price has to do is continue to call him out, knowing full well that a fight at a later date is better for both financially, and that his constantly challenging Fury only builds the hype for a fight that will eventually happen anyways. Both guys know they will fight each other, its just a show for now....

It looks like Fury really is ducking Price.
