Comments Thread For: Team Fury: David Price is Not Even on Our Radar

TYSON FURY has KO’d any thoughts of a summer clash with David Price by setting his sights on a world title shot.

A proposed showdown between Britain’s top two heavyweights was due to go to purse bids this week but Tyson’s camp have now decided against it.

Fury’s uncle and trainer, Peter Fury, said: “We’re going in a completely different direction to Price.

“David Price is not on our radar. Tyson is high up in the world rankings and I don’t think Price has earned his shot at him. [Click Here To Read More]

Probably wise of Fury to avoid Price; at the same time, this is also what sucks about the HW division, Fury-Price is the kind of fight people want to see, but protecting and managing a fighter in a desired direction gets in the way of the best fights. Fury-Price is a logical fight for both men.

after fury was going on about it all day yesterday on twitter...

          its already boring!

Fury obviously needs to realise that his calling out everyone and not going through with it wont do him any favours

            The duck is complete.

He couldn't keep Price's name out of his mouth a few months back, then he vacates titles to avoid that potential match-up. Maloney offers Fury a lot of money for the fight to happen and there is talk of it happening in the summer at Anfield, 1 million pound fight. That died out and now it was due to go to purse bids but team Fury withdraw from that...

Both are the biggest names in British heavyweight division at the moment, the winner of this clash would receive a huge amount of attention. So if Fury was so confident of beating Price, why has he avoided him so much?

Fury's team walked away from purse bids last week also didn't they?

Fury was ****ing on all day yesterday about fighting Price at Wembley after his and Price next rounds of fights. No they are distancing themselves again.

If Fury and his team don't want to fight Price, then they should stop using his name on Twitter and on the telly..its all got rather boring now.

He promotes himself, that's what all the calling out is about. Business strategy. Fury was never confident of beating Price, and the loss would hamper his career path. Pretty simple, really.

He's fighting a credible enough guy in his next fight, but still....If you have no intention about fighting someone in the near future, be honest about it and keep that guy's name out of your mouth.
