After re watching mayweather vs Jesus Chavez, makes me wonder.

What if margarito in his prime did fight Floyd, a smaller Chavez gave mayweather hell with tons of pressure, margarito stronger and bigger. Floyd one of my all time faves but that fight was close. For those who haven't seen it check it out, and not the highlights but the whole fight.

What do you mean the fight was close? What was your scorecard at the time of the stoppage?

And you realize Margarito moves nothing like Jesus Chavez, right? He has no where near the footwork, and would start no where near as fast as Chavez did against Floyd, which BTW was ineffective anyway.

I've seen that fight plenty, it wasn't close and neither did Chavez give him hell, Chavez however came with it and gave a really spiritted effort.

He would overwhelm Mayweather. Just like P.Williams would have aswell.

Maweather knew this which is why he chose to duck them.
Don't be surprised if his fans come and down play Margarito or the duckage. They'll make a reference to him cheating, plaster and say Mayweather would've outboxed him to a UD.

            Margarito would have killed Floyd.

I actually prefer boxers than aggressors but Meant that Chavez was doing fine with all the smothering and pressure. And Kev u might be right margarito didn't have good movement , but he was allot stronger. I might have just been a bit surprised since I hadn't seen the fight in a while.

He definitely brought it, I gave a lot of props to Chavez for the effort. He did come to just be a Mayweather opponent, he was a top 5 SFW and fought like one until Floyd stopped him. But the fight was not close. Swarming, throwing lots of punches, but missing most of them is not "coming close".

Most overrated tough fight of all time. I challenge anyone who remembers this as a tough fight for Floyd to rewatch it while tuning out the Hbo commentators. If u do that then Floyd wipes him out with an awesome performance. Good fight though but its a blowout on the scorecards
