If it's said quickly maybe it doesn't sound so much, but it's a huge bite, nearly half of everything he makes.

We've just read that Katsidis has to retire because of bad MRI and CT scan results. I suppose you all know what this means.....?? it means that by the time he's 50 or maybe a lot sooner, he'll be having irreversible mental problems for which no amount of money will be do any good....

It wouldn't be so bad if it were 10-15% which is bearable, but, when we consider what they actually do with the money, apart from paying themselves large salaries and HUGE perks, the waste from stupidity and incompetence, the corruption etc. ...And he can make much more if he goes elsewhere.

I don't blame him or any other boxer. Crippling taxes are only a small, temporary panacea for incompetent governement. Reality will set in when the economy falters, because investment money dries up.
What the fuck is that horse shit? Firemen and Police officers risk their lives when they go to work, they actually benefit society but people still expect them to pay taxes.

    10-15% I don't ****ing believe it.

39.6% was the same tax rate the wealthy paid under Clinton in the 90's. You didn't hear Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, and Roy Jones complaining about tax rates back then. This is nothing more than a greedy old man's agenda. Manny don't know **** about the US tax system. This is all Bob Arum.

millions and millions of jobs are now overseas for the same damn reason !

this whole country is full of people who hate on the rich
we should be celebrating success not punishing people for it !
jobs are overseas because politicians were giving incentives to companies to set up shop abroad... also companies don't have to abide by US regulations.. many of the countries they set up shop in do not have regulations in place so companies can do wtf they want

Yes they are being punished. In a FREE economy, it's supposed to be a matter of supply and demand. They supply jobs, which they make available because they have invested themselves, their brains, their experience etc. in their enterprises and have used their skills and perseverence to make these jobs available. They may succeed, if they don't they go bankrupt because employees won't work without their guaranteed agreed-on paychecks. If they succeed they make money.

It shouldn't cost them any more to live than it costs anybody. If they buy more expensive items they naturally pay more, but they don't have to do it. What they buy, they pay for, and it's all taxed and re-taxed and re-taxed again.

But, on top of all this, they are taxed on not just what they use, which use is the same as everybody elses, like roads and other public facilities, but they are taxed on their profits pro rata. So the more they make, the more they pay. Yet....their use of public facilities is in reality less than everyone elses.

Anyway, the wealthiest individuals and corporations pay the vast majority of all taxes. And there is a huge percentage of people who not only pay NO TAXES, but get income "supplements".....as well as use the public facilities more than anyone else. This all comes from the pockets of the wealthy, who don't even know them.

I'm not saying it's moral or acceptable.

He doesn't live here, you are right, so he has no obligation, therefore he doesn't have to come here to fight. He can stay in the Philippines and earn his .02 or .03 cents on the dollar and fight on the club scene and live happily ever after.

I mean are we serious here...America made that dude, wtf is he complaining? He would be absolutely nothing, no Hero of Asia, no fighter of the decade, no driving lambos and ferraris, no million dollar estates, no congressman in asia, no walking icon if it wasn't for America. That assh0le should lick the effin floor everytime he gets off of a plane in America. If it wasn't for America, he'd be a mal-nourished dude with fake christianity fighting in a dim lit area with 20 fans.
            Sig worthy!!!!

Your whole argument failed in the second sentence. Rich people are not job creators let alone job creators in america.

They invest in the companies they have set up in the cayman islands and the jobs they create wich arent many, they create them for in china or 3rd world countries in wich they can rape the workers. Rich people are all about profits, they can give 2 shits if you or me or any other person gets, a job or eats!

I bet you are a dumb republican!! The rich needs to be taxed period. Back in the day it was 70% and 90%, so they should be thankfull is only 39%!

There's real reason to hate the rich, they fcuked up our economy.
If it were not for "the rich" there would be NO economy. That's been tried in various places periodically and the countries usually go down the drain. Maybe you have read about it. We are lucky that we are not deep in the umpteenth "5-year plan" like the Russian peasants were....back to serfdom, basically slaves.

Pacquiao loves America I guess you never heard his interview with piers morgan he said America is the best country in the world because of their constitution.

Think deeper man, Arum the sly manipulator is the one who hates the taxes not Pacman, Pac doesn't even know until Arum told him hey Manny dont fight in America they are going to tax you like crazy. Pac probably replied ok boss.

Pacquiao is a basic third world er, if he cared about getting taxed or even money he wouldn't be giving money away like crazy, he doesn't care he even wants the rich in his country to help the poor.

Here is proof that ARum is using Pacquiao, this was from January he used Marquez name and Pac's name but its clear he is the one who doesn't want the fight in America so he doesn't get taxed more, Arum gets paid more money from a Pacquiao fight so that is why he refuses to let Pac fight in Cali and New york, because HE will suffer he is greedy, has nothing to do with Pac not wanting the taxes, Arum told Pac about ti and is probably telling him to tell that to the media.

You fucking idiot, the 39% is the same % that was implemented in the clinton presidency and the US had his bigger surplus with over 236 billions in cash. That went to shit, when bush dumbass sigh the Bush-era Tax cuts and then put 2 wars on the credit card that he didnt paid!
