Comments Thread For: Povetkin: Team Klitschko Manipulates The Public Opinion

WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (25-0, 17 KOs) has accused unified king Wladimir Klitschko (59-3, 50 KOs) of using the media to create a false image of the actual situation going on behind the scenes. Povetkin, although he withrew twice in the past when offered a date against Wladimir, is now making a heavy push to make the fight happen. His promoter, Sauerland Event, tried to make the fight, but Wladimir was granted the capability of having a voluntary defense on April 6th.

Public opinion says Wlad is gonna pummel Povetkin into hamburger and in this case public opinion is 100% correct.

Wach had more of a shot than stubby armed Povetkin, who won't be able to get close to Wlad without getting his head taken off.

Povetkin: 'Klitschko is a strong opponent and it's defficult to predict the outcome of our fight'

... he has already lost with that mindset

Povetkin has ducked Klitschko twice - Klitschko stops Povetkin within 9 rounds.

He ducked him when he was with Teddy because Teddy was protecting him and knew he wouldnet win. Now he has changed trainers he believes he can win, yeh you may have more belief in yourself but it does not change the way you box.
He is tailor made for WLAD bad fight

povetkin has a little more experience now. he wants his big payday & after maximizing his earning potential with the "regular" trinket. this fight is going to happen in the summer or wlad will be stripped of his WBA title. if this was lennox, foreman, bowe, mercer, etc they would have just vacated the title if they wanted to go in another direction(bigger payday). povetkin has his right to exercise his mandatory status & he has done this so now it's up to wlad to fulfill his obligation or be stripped. i can't see wlad vacating so he will fight his mandatory.

                    Povetkin is not good.

He is also chinny...he'll get laid out early if this fight is made.
