And Hopkins never beat ONE fighter better than Barrera or Marquez. So saying he beat more elite prime fighters than both Pacquiao and Mayweather is outright ridiculous. Because to say that, you would have to count the type of fighters you are completely dismissing for Pacquiao and Mayweather.
pump the breaks bro....I was trolling BOTH bases with that....sorry you didnt get the memo....alot of birds on here so I just felt like ruffling some feathers....but to say B.Hop NEVER beat a fighter better than Barrera or Morales is INSANE as well as a OPINION!!!....lets not talk like B.Hop is not on their level when its really a question if those 2 are on HIS level

The Marquez Floyd beat wasn't prime & to this day Pacman doesn't own a clear victory over Marquez either. Just thought I'd clear that up for ya.

I would never claim the Marquez that Mayweather beat was prime, sorry if I gave that impression. I give him more credit than I did at the time, but still don't consider it a particularly special win.

And while the win in the second fight wasn't clear, its not like Pacquiao didn't deserve it. It was an insanely close fight, one that either way Pacquiao did deserve a decision in, just as much as Marquez.

There is not one win Hopkins has over a better fighter than Barrera or Marquez.

Seems the term "Elite" is a very loose term on here.

His Tito win is just as good if not better.Tito was undefeated and considered a beast and a 3 division champion with 16 defenses at ww

Tito was p4p#2 when Hopkins beat him and #1 contender at mw....Barerra was p4p#2 when manny beat him and ring champion..so lets not act like these wins are not comparable..not to mention Hopkins was what 36?? and manny was a young 20 year old fighting an older man while hopkins was fighting a much younger man

Physically he wasn't at his absolute best but mentally and skill wise he was and he still had a lot left physically.

The combination of the two I would say in 03 he was at or very close to his best.

Pacquiao - JMM, Cotto (I still think he was in his prime in that fight)

Floyd - Corrales, Castillo, Hatton (you can argue the weight, but I think he was still prime).
