Macklin is a tough fight for Lee. It would definitely be a good fight, both guys get hit a lot and both have decent chins. A lot on the line too.

Macklin was reportedly in talks with the Chavez camp but that talk has died down again. Macklin might be too tricky a starting point for Bob's rebuilding job.

He had nose surgery before Christmas and is still in recovery I think.

Don't know if the op was planned before or after Golovkin offered him a fight

While this is an evenly matched bout, unless it's scheduled for St Paddys day it hardly a HBO quality fight. Probably gonna be paired with a better fight and a PPV replay

Macklin is quite average himself, just another beneficiary of a weak MW era, but he should handle Lee.

Might be pretty good. Id favour Mack, he can get Lee outta there too. Far rather see Barker in with em though

Interesting fight. I think Macklin has a good chance here.

Macklin really believes he should be on HBO? Seriously?
Does he really think boxing fans (enough of them) want to see a Macklin VS anybody?
Just because his promoter "has a TV date" does he really think the boxing public want to see a Macklin fight?
We already saw a HBO Macklin fight VS Sergio Martinez!!
Maybe on RTE out of Ireland.
