Ward hasn't done shizz really and this year will be a wash for him.

1. Gary Russell Jr: His skills are amazing and speed surpasses his skills.
2. Adrian Broner: His attitude and skills match, outgoing and fast.
3. Canelo Alvarez: With time his skill will increase to a high and will be globally recognized.
4. Deontay Wilder: POWER, SIZE and Still is improving.
Shouldn't have to say but obviously Andre Ward.

There's probably going to be a void for a while. It's not as if someone is instantly going to be the face of boxing after Manny and Floyd finally retire.
On that basis, it could be anyone. Someone pretty unknown now might be it.

Adrien Broner and Canelo Alvarez. Someone lie Chavez Jr will always be big and known because of his father, sadly. If Danny Garcia were to keep winning, and Puerto Ricans backed him, he could become a big Puerto Rican-American star.
Possibly someone else like Gary Russell Jr, but I don't know. He may end up being Roy Jones popular, well known but not a huge star in the big picture. Andre Ward, he won't. He'll never be well known enough in my opinion.Last edited by 4Corners; 02-09-2013, 11:46 AM.

The new face could be either Broner, Canelo, Ward, or Deontay Wilder imo
Deontay Wilder is a big heavyweight with a lot of power and a 100% knockout percentage so far. Even though he does need a lot of work, that alone gets tons of attention. Only problem is he doesn't really got a personality or anything like that but I can see him having George Foreman fame if he keeps up the knockouts.
Andre Ward is talented as hell not to mention he has a clean image and would make a good role model. I don't know if he's exciting enough or has the personality to be a household name though.
Canelo is exciting to watch. Not to mention he doesn't look like anyone else so it would be easier for him to become someone who's instantly recognizable. Only thing that hurts his chances are the fact that he keeps having big fights fall apart. I also don't know if everyone is really gonna f uck with a mexican ginger kid but if he keeps winning they'll have no choice lol. Im a big fan personally
Adrien Broner probably has the best chance outta all of em though. He's been dominating people and has an actual personality outside of boxing. I also think a lot of younger generations will be able to relate to him the most, which is probably the biggest factor for being a face of the sport because it has the potential to create a lotta future boxing fans. Only things that hurt him is the fact that his style is too comparable to Mayweather's. Also the fact that if he isnt funny he's annoying as **** lol **** pisses me off
I personally want to see Canelo become the face but I think it'll be Broner. Or Deontay Wilder if he grows to have more than just brutal knockout power
