    If Mayweather wants to unify....

Mayweather wants to unify at Welter. However wheres his money gonna come from? Paulie? Devon? Timmy? Not so sure. Maybe they could sell a Timmy fight as "Floyd versues the guy that beat Manny"

Should Floyd try and unify at LMW with a carefully picked opponant? Canelo would sell but would that be too dangerous for picky old Floyd. K9 is old and that could be the 'tune-up' people are talking of. Baysangurov (or however you spell his name) is just a no go. No one knows him. Trout could be his best option. Beat Cotto and would clear up the WBA mess.

So what unification should Floyd take if he had to?

      He can't unify

Both the IBF and WBC have said they won't sanction a fight with Alexander.

Just fight Martinez at 154. There's nothing really intriguing at 147.

Mayweather isn't interested in unifying. At this stage of his career he isn't really interested in belts either. It's all about the cheque.

I don't think Floyd cares about unifying tittles. He never did before. What would be the point of hand picking an easy 154 pound belt holder to unify a tittle with? The whole idea of unifying at any weight is to get all the belts and prove you are the best in the world at that weight. It looks like Floyd decided Axexander would be an easier fight than Guerrero. The Alexander fight would not be a unification fight at all. The WBA and the WBC both said they won't recognize it as a tittle fight. It will be interesting to see who Floyd ends up fighting on May 4th.
