I know it's a stretch nowadays, but SRR fought LaMotta twice in one month with not just him in that month.

Can we like start a boxing fan union?

Fighters back then were smaller so they were in shape all year round where guys these days cut 20-30 pounds. That takes time.

Then boxing was like football back then. Its not as popular as it was but still has a good following. Plus with PPVs fighters make so much more money plus fans won't pay 50 dollars for Floyd and Manny once nevertheless twice a month.

Fighters get paid more money these days off the back of tv deals, back then the main revenue was from the gate, so the more times you fought the more times you got paid, now fighters are too scared to risk losing and forfeiting big sky, hbo, show time paydays
