if he was gonna go non-mexican, he should've gone after bradley at 147 or trout at 154. heck, a cotto rematch or a marquez rematch would make more sense. this fight makes less money than any of the four and does crap for his legacy. nonsense fight
First fight in a year out of jail, he's just tuning up.

Devon takes them both to school if it ever happen's, same with Manny and Grandpa Marquez.
You are literally basing this on nothing. There is nothing about Devon Alexander that looks any different from 140. How exactly is he a different beast now?

        • So Pac fights an undefeated Bradley and Floyd not only does not fight Pac's leftovers, he fights the leftovers of a Pac's opponent. If Floyd is using Alexander as a bargaining chip then fine but if this Alexander fight is true, Floyd has stooped to new lows.

          • Well this blows, I wasn't expecting this at all. Its probably the worst fight he could have chosen, I'm disappointed in this crap.

I'd rather pay to see JMM knockout Manny again.

            • On top of this, Alexander is not even an exciting matchup!! What the ***?!! At least Guerrero promised an action fight. Floyd vs Alexander is not a PPV matchup.

              • So here we were looking this year at a Martinez, Trout, or Canelo matchup for Floyd but realizing all along he would chose Guerrero and what does he do? Picks Bradley's leftovers.

Devon loses to Lucas, Bradley, And Kotelnik at 140, then looks like **** against Maidana and washed up Bailey at 147.

In reality Devon is 2-3 in his last 5 fights with 3 str8 losses and hasnt gotten boring as hell.

Devon's natural weight class is 147, that's where his first 11 fight's took place. He only dropped down to 140 to fight for the title. Alexander was draining himself to get down to 140 those last couple fight's. Now that Alexander is back in his natural weight class he has the energy to fight every minute of every round because he's not depleting himself to make 140 anymore. That's what makes him a better fighter at 147, it's his natural weight class.

                      This.

However all the people crying about Guerreo and him not fighting anyone or being experienced can stop. Alexander is more experienced than Guerreo...

Still a **** fight but then again nobody at 140-147 for the past few years has been good enough to beat Floyd anyway.

If this is not just a ploy to hype Alexander, this will be a boring fight.
