That's all good but would have loved if he said let's do this again. Always thought warriors didn't care about going out on top stuff. Everyone treating PAC like he's sleep and easy money. It hard to understand these sorta decisions with these reactions. This decision is like leaving the dice game when you shouldn't. Its not necessarily all about the money guys....Marquez kind of shocked me when he showed up to the last fight looking like the hulk.....and we know that Manny has done some things that defy explanation as well... but here's the thing:

Marquez is also the guy who picked himself off the canvas when most would have called it a bad day at the office. Marquez is the guy who looked really really hurt and spoke like such when decisions were rendered that were patently ridiculous. I think that Marquez is one of those rare individuals who writes checks with his mouth and actually does intend to cash them with his ass. He made two statements that are worth remembering,

a)" I will not leave the next fight in the hands of the judges"....and in fact he exerscized a strategy where even down on points, gave him ample opportunity to unload his counter right...the rest is history.

b) "this is the last time, there will not be any more fights after this one with Pacquio."

Is it so hard for people to understand that some individuals are really warriors? Not all fighters and soldgers are necessarily warriors, but some individuals really do treat their word as a bond. Marquez might actually be one of those rare individuals. It never was about the money to this guy as much as it is with others....he is an accountant! he probably is already set for life anyway.

Warriors also try at all possible to keep to their word. We live in a world where we are accustomed to putting a price tag on everything including integrity.
some people actually say "no more" and mean it....It is cynical to think that everything is for sale...though it seems to be true.

I think Marquez fans want the fight, so do Pacquiao fans and casual fans as well.

the 5th fight will happen, so all of this is a moot point.

they did give us 4 great fights. which is why i believe they should stop. for the well-being of both pac an jmm. its f*ucked up to ask for a 5th. Money don't mean **** when you're on a wheelchair or have the parkinson's disease. The 4th fight was supposed to be closure for both parties, win, lose or draw. And I've accepted it. I'm not Bob Arum who thinks money is everything.
