If nobody wanted to see a fifth fight then it wouldn't sell and it wouldn't make money. I heard the same talk before the fourth fight but it did sell and it made lots of money because lots of paying fans wanted to see it. Lots of fans want to see a fifth fight and it will make lots of money too. Marquez will get an offer to good to refuse and there will be a fifth fight, at least that's my guess. They are still evenly matched and it's still an even money fight and it will be another good fight like the last four.

whats the point of fighting the same opponent so much when there is other cometition out there? marquez clearly won now move on and i don't ever remember pacquiao giving marquez any immediate rematches for his contraversial wins.how much did it sell and this is not me saying that it didn't sell because im sure it did but out of curiousity what were the numbers

Supposedly 1.15m, but it followed the weakest fight in the series. The demand for 5 is way higher than 3 or 4.

if you broke it down demographically, I'm sure there isn't much higher demand. just looking at the opinions of varying groups on this board...there is just a massive web presence from a very populous country...it has skewed anything boxing related on the internet for 3-4 years now.

Nobody wants to see a 5th fight? Pacquiao won the 1st fight, 1 judge got the scoring wrong. Pacquiao OUTLANDED Marquez all 4 fights. Marquez was getting cliniqued on the last one before his great KO. He doesn't want a 5th fight BECAUSE HE WON'T PARTICIPATE IN RANDOM DRUG TESTING! I wouldn't either!

The board is not indicative of anything, it's several dozen posters with agendas, and their alts. There was a "most anticipated fight of 2013" poll on espn, won it easy. It was the best fight of the series, FOTY, with major momentum swings, shocking ending. I had boxing skeptics over, they finally got it. And for the first time going into it Pac might be underdog, thought to be vulnerable to a knockout, so it's added intrigue.

The point is that it's entertaining. We will never know who was the best, prime for prime, no matter how many times they fight.

Pac is giving you the chance to make it 2 wins each and JMM asks what is the point of a fifth fight?

It dont matter that you ko'ed Pac, you are still behind on wins. Pac gave you a rematch so the fact that you have to question why a fifth makes me think you arent a gentleman and JMM always struck me as a gentlemen, in this barbaric sport.

Im sure JMM is a gentlemen, his demenour gives me that impression, as does when he speaks. He seems a nice mexican.
