DUESSELDORF, Germany -- Sam Soliman defeated former WBA champion Felix Sturm by unanimous decision in their IBF middleweight title elimination fight on Friday night. Soliman was knocked down in the second round, but got up and improved as the bout went on. The judges awarded it 116-111, 114-113, 114-113 to the 39-year-old Australian, who will next fight compatriot Daniel Geale for the IBF title. There was a moment of confusion as Michael Buffer announced the judges had awarded it to Sturm, only to correct himself while the German and the crowd were celebrating. [Click Here To Read More]

I was half asleep when the decision was announced and woke up this morning real confused that they re read the decision and gave it to Soliman.
These ausies have real influence in germany, Geale won 2 belts there and now Soliman wins by UD on all 3 cards.

Wow Sam Soliman was at his best/prime back in the mid 2000s. He has no business beating a top 10 MW. Sturm also lost to Geale and Macklin, and had a draw with Murray all in his last 5 fights. He should retire, he's no longer getting the decisions in Germany, and he doesn't have the power to even knock out past prime journeymen 40 year olds like Soliman who had his best run from early 2000s-2007.

Every since he got the W against Macklin that most felt he didn't deserve, it seems that they don't want to give him decisions anymore and are going the other way Who has he p*ssed off, might be the question.
