i dunno about numbers, i just know what i saw for some time before the fight. and that is, Roy's legs were in desperate shape and his reflexes considerably dimmed. and he didn't have the fundamental base and advanced skill-set to compensate for that, unlike a guy like, say, Morales (see in his comeback fight with Maidana).


i'm not even predisposed to defend Roy. while there were certain features of his athletic ability that left me with my jaw on the floor (like the fluidity and quickness of his hands when combination punching in complex permutations), i don't generally have as much time for guys who are many more parts 'athlete' than boxer. plus, i feel like his resume could have been better. but he was definitely shot to hell when he fought Joe.

I don't know what you two are "hahaing about anyway. Eubank said almost the same thing. Eubank had a massive chin and was dropped 3 times in over 50 fights, of which two were by Calzaghe.

AND...... He could just as easily have said "I wish I had Joe Louis' power"..or "George Foreman's power"... He was reminiscing.
