A second war is coming. Top Rank has announced that a junior welterweight rematch between Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado will take place on March 30th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. HBO will televise. The first meeting took place last October at Los Angeles' Home Depot Center and saw Rios (31-0-1, 23 KOs) stop Alvarado in the seventh round of a classic.

This blows, even for Bob Arum. I hope it falls through miraculously and Rios can fight someone worthy if his time. Rematches need to be reserved for close fights, this wasn't in all reality.

TO be honest I feel that JMM could very well lose to a lot of fighters in the loaded 140lb weightclass. Remember style makes fights and just cause he has the style to beat Manny doesnt mean he can beat all the fighters that rank below them p4p.

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining because this will most likely be another great fight; however, if I'm in Rios' team, I'm very upset because this is a very dangerous fight with very little upside to it. From what I understand, though, Rios will be making a lot more money this time around!
