That depends on who you ask. Me personally. I think Pacquiao had the better career.

I will acknowledge that JMM was always a bad stylistic match up for JMM.

Put it this way. There are guys Pacquiao beat, that I highly doubt JMM could beat. Just based on styles, BUT JMM's style can beat Pac's more often than not.

I don't want to go back and fourth, and back and fourth. Lets just agree that they're both evenly matched, but JMM's style poses Pac problems, and vice versa.

You didn't watch the fight I'm guessing. The reason why Pac had more success was because he was feinting him more, and using much more head movement.

JMM was extremely cautious in the beginning, only firing back, and not engaging. Of course that's the sole purpose of being a counter puncher, but he was even more cautious, because of the feints.

You could even hear Larry Merchant saying, "Juan knows Manny's going to come out the gates swinging, so I think he's going to wait for the right opportunity to land his punches."

You could even see in the fight, unlike the previous fights where Manny would throw a shot, then Juan comes back with combos, Manny anticipates that, and ducks and weaves at a higher rate. Thus Juan not being able to land as much as the previous fights.

Edit: Juan's strategy was to wait for the right opportunities on top of Manny stifling him with feints and head movement. The thing is, that strategy worked in the grand scheme of things, but almost back fired on him, as evidenced by his face at the end of the fight.

In the past 13 years involving 30 fights, some against no hopers, he has scored 2 KOs including the Pacquiao one. It seems to me that only a few have noticed that Pacquiao fell face first right into the right hand. Marquez couldn't ebven see where it was going.

I suggest you watch the fight again, on slo-mo this time, and you'll see that Pacquiao suddenly tripped over Marquez foot' and fell right at him. It can be seen, ans someone put it on this site. It was all split second stuff, and I'm not saying that the punch woudn't have landed, but MannyP went straight into it pretty fast, which is why he was face down. He would have fallen forward anyway from the trip, unless he put his hands in front of him. The punch prevented that. He was getting into high gear and Marquez wa damned lucky. That punch will be worth about $15 mill to him.

I kind of agree i want to agree but when i start to agree i get a flashback of Marquez knocking Pac out cold, and i think i wont be the only one, so unless Pacquiao gets revenge in a huge way, that's the same reaction people will have, they had a few battles that could have gone either way but JMM won the war.

Well as usual the floydiots will defend Marquez win and give the credit to Floyd the coward. Remember Marquez koed Pac not Floyd and Floyd weight cheated Marquez for his win. Ok, Pac got some questionable decisions. They were all razor thin fights that could have gone either way, besides the 3rd fight.

Yes, he got KTFO in the 4th fight. Got caught slipping, plain and simple.

Lets not act like JMM straight up embarrassed Manny in all their fights. (Besides the 4th fight)
