All time great talent at 130 (honestly, people won't even consider that, since he didn't fight any HOF fighters at that time). Goes up to 140 to fight the great Arturo Gatti. Then fights the over the hill ODLH, for his biggest pay day. Gets his main stream appeal after that fight. Then goes onto fight Ricky Hatton @ WW. A weight, where he lost to Collazo, in the public's opinion. Then retires when the WW division is at it's peak. Comes back to fight a super blown up WW, and beats him. A fight where true boxing fans don't validate as a legitmate, p4p vs. p4p match up. Goes onto face over the hill Mosley, and waaaaaay over the hill Cotto. What weight class the fight took place at don't mean **** (Ex. Cotto vs. Trout).

End of story. I just broke down his weak ass career.

You might say that's unfair, but that's the bed he made, and he's got to sleep in it.

"But Floyd's a multi millionaire. He's sleeping in silk sheets, and don't give a ****!"

Yeah, wait til he's broke, and no one gives 2 ****s about his ass.

      Edit: Besides Larryx
Yes Floyd worked his butt off to get his ducker reputation with years and years off and going AWOL at the drop of a hat and its paying dividends now. He is universally known as a ducking cherry picker who couldnt ko people, unless sucka punching them.

Pac on the other hand will be remembered for mexican fighters laying at his feet.

You make it seem like this was fight #2, and JMM KO'd Manny. The circumstances were way different.

Manny looked like he was on his way of ACTUALLY finishing him this time, got way too reckless and paid the price.
PAC wasn't going to finish anyone and after 4 fights PAC still failed and got laid out and the only reason PAC had some success is that jmm brawled more this time giving PAC more opportunities to hit him but in returned it gave jmm the chance to ko PAC which he did. Jmm had enough of the judges laid it all on line for freak sakes they had the ****** fighter of decade belt for PAC if that doest smell of bull ***** robbery I don't know what does. What do you want, people to say JMM was 39 year old LW fighting at WW? Stop hatin'.

The bottom line is, JMM has won more rounds over all. The majority of the boxing community thinks he won the 3rd fight. JMM told Pac to his face, mind you, that he was going to knock him out in the 4th fight. He did just that. I’m sorry, that is ownage.

As much as I hate to bring it up, it’s exactly like Tarver Jones II when asked if either man had any more questions before touching gloves. Tarver made his point as did JMM. End of story.

You didn't watch the fight I'm guessing. The reason why Pac had more success was because he was feinting him more, and using much more head movement.

JMM was extremely cautious in the beginning, only firing back, and not engaging. Of course that's the sole purpose of being a counter puncher, but he was even more cautious, because of the feints.

You could even hear Larry Merchant saying, "Juan knows Manny's going to come out the gates swinging, so I think he's going to wait for the right opportunity to land his punches."

You could even see in the fight, unlike the previous fights where Manny would throw a shot, then Juan comes back with combos, Manny anticipates that, and ducks and weaves at a higher rate. Thus Juan not being able to land as much as the previous fights.

Edit: Juan's strategy was to wait for the right opportunities on top of Manny stifling him with feints and head movement. The thing is, that strategy worked in the grand scheme of things, but almost back fired on him, as evidenced by his face at the end of the fight.

How many times do we hear a fighter say "I'm going to knock you out!"

That's so cliche. Don't dramatize this ****. He got caught slipping, and paid for it.

Pacquiao's performance against Marquez last December is so, so overrated.

Marquez beats him in a wide decision and drops him dead cold. That's a definite.

Not in a situation like Pac vs JMM. The majority of the boxing community thinks JMM has at least (at the VERY least) one win over Pac.

The fact is, he didn't and JMM knew what he would have to do to get a win. He told Pac to his face what was coming.

Pac got caught slipping in the 3rd fight when he was expecting to see that 38 year old LW JMM look like he did vs Mayweather in 2009. The 4th fight just sealed the deal on who IS and will be remembered as the better fighter.

That depends on who you ask. Me personally. I think Pacquiao had the better career.

I will acknowledge that JMM was always a bad stylistic match up for JMM.

Put it this way. There are guys Pacquiao beat, that I highly doubt JMM could beat. Just based on styles, BUT JMM's style can beat Pac's more often than not.

I don't want to go back and fourth, and back and fourth. Lets just agree that they're both evenly matched, but JMM's style poses Pac problems, and vice versa.
